Summary The Senior Marketing Analyst (SMA) supports the Employee Benefits practice by gathering, analyzing, and presenting insurance market data; preparing proposals; evaluating plan design options; and supporting the delivery of strategic benefits solutions for clients. This role ensures all marketing, quoting, benchmarking, and analytical functions are completed accurately, professionally, and aligned with Gibson’s commitment to proactive client service.
Roles And Responsibilities
Gather data for quotes, review current benefits and plan amendments, and work with marketing to prepare RFPs.
Analyze market summaries and present proposals to internal teams and clients.
Audit renewals for completeness and accuracy.
Data Analysis & Industry Intelligence
Maintain awareness of employee benefits and healthcare issues, including applicable legislation and industry-specific trends.
Track marketplace developments, carrier changes, product innovations, and competitor movements.
Client & Team Collaboration
Conduct assessments and participate in roadmap discussions tied to the Gibson GPS process.
Keep colleagues and leadership informed of major developments and renewal outcomes.
Partner with service teams and practice leaders to ensure deliverables and timelines are met.
Operational Responsibilities
Submit activity reports and participate in team/producer meetings.
Complete expense reports as required.
Serve as backup support to team personnel when needed.
Maintain confidentiality of all client and company information.

Have experience in employee benefits, preferably in an agency setting.
Are skilled at gathering data, analyzing information, and solving complex problems.
Are energized by presenting findings and supporting strategic decision-making.
Communicate clearly—both in writing and verbally.
Are comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Position Requirements
Prior insurance experience, preferably in an Employee Benefits advisor or analyst role.
Current Life & Health license.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Strong presentation and communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree preferred; CEBS designation a plus.
