About the Role We are currently looking to hire a highly motivated and experienced Leasing Professional to join our Emerge team. The role of a Leasing Professional requires high energy and an intense desire to make a real difference in people’s lives and a commitment to anticipate and exceed the expectations of our residents and prospects. This diverse role combines sales, customer service and marketing to lease apartment homes and build excellent relationships. The ideal candidate will be proactive in anticipating and exceeding expectations in all areas of the Leasing Professional role. Specifically in this role, you will be responsible for greeting prospects, qualifying leads, and documenting all interactions. You will also be responsible for maintaining electronic guest cards, inspecting models, and communicating service needs to the property manager. Additionally, you will provide quotes, assist with online applications, and disclose upfront leasing fees and approval requirements. Your primary goal will be to close sales and ensure seamless resident move‑ins.
What You Bring (Requirements)
Ability to access all apartment homes and parts of the community to show the home to potential residents; inspect all areas of community, etc.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
Knowledge and understanding of operations including people management, financial reporting, problem‑solving, sales, maintenance and resident relations.
Ability to visually inspect apartment homes, grounds, and other aspects of the community to determine that standards are met
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize duties and responsibilities
Mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, and to attend meetings at various locations
High School Diploma required, and College Degree Preferred
1-3 years of experience in Property Management Preferred
Bilingual (English and Spanish) Preferred
Strong initiative and customer service orientation
Valid Driver's License
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
Greet and qualify prospects professionally using guest cards in our Lead Management Software
Tour and present the community in a compelling way and assisting prospective residents with finding the right apartment home
Conduct all functions necessary to close the sale, including making appointments, generating new leads, conducting tours, maintaining show rooms, and any follow‑up necessary
Manage the leasing/renewal process from start to finish
Respond to telephone and internet inquiries from residents and prospects to schedule virtual, self‑guided, and in‑person tours
Collaborate with the property maintenance team to ensure prompt responses and completion of resident service requests in line with the company’s standards
Assist prospects with applications and deposits, adhering to company procedures and Fair Housing requirements
Keep an updated availability report, process applications with credit checks and rental history verification, then submit them for
Promote resident satisfaction and retention by promptly responding to questions, and requests and taking appropriate actions to resolve service issues
