Develop and revise detailed

2D and/or 3D CAD drawings , layouts, and schematics based on project requirements. Interpret

engineering sketches, architectural plans, specifications, and notes

to produce accurate technical drawings. Maintain drawing accuracy by ensuring adherence to

industry codes, company standards, and project guidelines . Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to clarify design issues and propose solutions. Review and check drawings for completeness, accuracy, and compliance before release. Update drawing templates, layers, title blocks, and file naming according to company CAD standards. Manage and organize drawing files, revisions, and documentation using version-control processes. Prepare drawings and data packages for submittals, fabrication, construction, or client review. Perform site visits or field checks (if required) to gather measurements and verify existing conditions. Support continuous improvement of drafting processes and CAD workflows. Required Qualifications Certificate, diploma, or associate degree in CAD, drafting, engineering technology, or related field. Proficiency in

AutoCAD ,

Revit ,

SolidWorks ,

Inventor , or other industry-specific CAD software. Strong understanding of technical drawing standards, dimensioning, and drafting conventions. Ability to read and interpret engineering/architectural drawings and specifications. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and technical problem-solving skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a specific industry (e.g., architectural, mechanical, electrical, civil, manufacturing). Familiarity with

BIM ,

3D modeling , or

parametric design

tools. Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASME, ISO, NEC, AISC). Experience with project documentation control and CAD standards development. Office-based with potential site or field visits. Regular collaboration with engineers, architects, designers, and project stakeholders. Deadlines may require flexibility in workload and scheduling.
