MEDICAL CITY DALLAS Join to apply for the RN Lactation Consultant role. This position is located at Medical City Dallas and involves caring for patients with purpose and integrity as part of the HCA Healthcare family. What You Will Do
Participates in the development, coordination, managing, facilitating, conducting, and evaluating onboarding and orientation programs for nursing and other healthcare personnel Conducts orientation in a manner that facilitates a positive learning environment and incorporates organizational values into the process Identifies learning needs of staff and assesses practice gaps, planning educational content with learner engagement Partners with the Clinical Education Market Director to review outcomes data to evaluate and refine aptitude management activities Demonstrates expertise in adult educational theory and applies evaluation methodologies (e.g., Kirkpatrick) to courses and curriculum to refine clinical programs Qualifications You Will Need
Graduate from an accredited professional school of nursing; BSN preferred (if RN and hired after 6/1/12, BSN required within 24 months of hire) Associate Degree required Continuing education in lactation and breastfeeding required Minimum of two years’ experience in maternal-child health nursing in an acute care setting, preferred Experience with breastfeeding management required Current RN License in the State of Texas or compact license, preferred IBCLC required Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider NRP within 3 months of hire Benefits
