About the Role Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies. The Business Development Representative is a key strategic position housed within the Marketing organization but operates in close collaboration with the GTM Sales Org. The role focuses on strategically identifying key decision makers, mapping commercial accounts and generating meetings across all levels. With a focus on breaking into named new business accounts, the BDR team contributes to hitting new logo acquisition targets and generating crucial pipeline momentum for Fivetran’s success.

This base + uncapped commission BDR position offers a clear growth path and competitive total compensation. It is a full‑time position based out of our Denver office, supporting the Central Time Zone. Candidates must be located in Denver, CO and be able to work in the office three days per week (Tues/Wed/Thurs). Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in‑person collaboration, including three days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.

What You’ll Do

Hunt and outbound – map accounts in large enterprise or commercial companies while prospecting and generating meetings with all levels of employees from C‑Level to data analysts.

Prospect into commercial customers, identify key decision makers, understand their challenges, and secure sales‑qualified opportunities.

Execute VP‑ and IC‑level pitches.

Demonstrate a deep interest in commercial customers’ data challenges and pain points while giving an introduction of what Fivetran does at an enterprise and commercial level, with the goal of setting up valuable engagements with our account executives.

Collaborate cross‑functionally with Commercial Account Executives, Marketing and Alliances to drive pipeline generation and exceed revenue goals.

Follow pre‑designed sales strategies (and sometimes develop and implement new ones) to grow the business and hit account acquisition targets.

Master the Fivetran consultative, Command of the Message and Challenger sales process. Use pre‑created cadences based on industry, persona and use case, adding personalization.

Create personalized cadences specific to the account and use case, following plays such as Snowflake Customer, SAP or HVR use cases.

Organize, log activity, and categorize sales lead information into Salesforce.com.

Skills We’re Looking For

Experience of cold calling

Written and verbal communication with proper grammar

High‑level understanding of the enterprise or commercial data space

Bonus Skills

Previous SDR/BDR experience of six months or longer

Compensation Pay range: $23‑$28 per hour (Denver). On‑target earnings (OTE): $68,344.22‑$83,201.66 per year. Compensation may vary and is determined by role, level, location, and additional factors such as experience or education.
