Job Scope & Purpose The Marketing Account Executive is responsible for managing and coordinating agency resources to ensure that account needs are met. He/she acts as the daily internal contact and ensures that all projects for which he/she is responsible are completed on time, on specification, within scope, and on budget, while providing completed planning and documentation. The Senior Account Executive ensures that support, information, and knowledge needed from the competencies are provided.
Main Responsibilities
Serve as internal contact for account needs; fulfill daily client and internal team requests and ensure all projects assigned are executed to plan
Coordinate with other team members to monitor ongoing progress, make adjustments when required, proactively identify project issues/problems, assist in issue/problem resolution, and provide updates
Keep account team updated on the status of account activities; produce communication materials (contact and status reports, etc.) for both internal and external teams
Gather database‑related work specifications from client and/or team members; provide concise and appropriate written specifications on inputs, outputs, internal processes, and quality assurance measures to the appropriate functional groups
Build and maintain a thorough understanding of the client’s business and competitive environment; routinely contribute to competitive tracking projects
Develop a positive and partnering relationship with all team members
Oversee the accuracy and quality of agency product; assist with quality assurance and provide final sanity check for project deliverables
Track and reconcile costs posted to the billing system and handle revenue forecasting at the project level
Schedule and lead project status meetings, including preparation of meeting agendas and documenting status
Assist with building a positive culture
Develop and maintain proficiency with Targetbase tools and processes
Experience & Education
2‑4 years of professional experience managing digital marketing campaigns within a marketing/advertising agency or in‑house digital marketing team
Prior project management of multi‑channel campaigns including email, direct mail, social and/or programmatic tactics
Experience in pharma, healthcare, or other heavily regulated industry highly preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration
Knowledge & Ability
Excellent attention to detail
Strong organizational skills; demonstrated ability to multitask and set priorities
Aptitude for relationship development and desire for client‑facing responsibility
Strong interpersonal skills
Able to write and communicate effectively
Proactive approach to problem‑solving ability
Enthusiasm about direct‑to‑consumer marketing
Interest in the creative and production process
General understanding of customer experience principles
Customer persona development
CRM/email marketing best practices
Customer Journey touchpoints
Understanding of the creative and production process required
Proficient in MS Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Experience supporting presentation layout/design design
Position Requirements
Overtime as necessary
Travel as necessary
Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days from home; candidate must be local to Raleigh area and willing to be onsite 3 days a week
