We are currently looking for a Senior Credit Analyst to join our Commercial Real Estate Lending Credit Administration team.
Job Summary This role is responsible for underwriting the most complex commercial real estate and residential construction transactions with autonomy. This role has the ability and knowledge to underwrite every transaction within the commercial operation and reviews the work of junior analysts. Additional responsibilities include assisting with the mentoring of junior analysts, process improvement support, and helping inform operations management via various reports.
What you can expect to work on
Underwriting/Loan Reviews
Responsible for underwriting the most complex loan transactions within the department typically, larger commercial real estate construction, build‑to‑rent construction, and land, lot, and development transactions.
Responsible for complex loan reviews as it relates to the bank’s largest customers.
Review borrower financials, spread and complete analysis within Sageworks and excel.
Review appraisals and analyze real estate performance.
Assist in completing market, borrower, and portfolio analysis as needed.
Other Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining SLA, quality, and productivity measures.
Assists management in audit / exam support
Assists management with vendor support.
Assists management with large department initiatives involving systems, processes, and procedures.
Assists in reviewing junior analyst spreads and memorandums.
Assists in completing collateral inspections as needed.
What you offer us
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or other formal education preferred (with a focus on business, finance, risk management, or other similar area)
Seven to ten years' experience in commercial real estate underwriting, commercial loan underwriting, construction administration or other related experience.
Strong knowledge of commercial real estate and/or construction lending, regulations and compliance is preferred.
Skills:
Can manage a pipeline of transactions to underwrite.
Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
Strong customer service skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong time management and organizational skills – must be detail-oriented and thorough.
Can easily adapt and/or align with the evolving landscape and business changes.
Good understanding of Bank systems and processes.
Other Physical Requirements:
Ability to remain stationary (sitting or standing) for prolonged periods.
Ability to conduct keyboard/computer work for extensive periods.
Ability to communicate clearly (understand/be understood) with customers in person or over the phone/computer
Credit and background checks will be required.
