Position Overview Curis is seeking a Chief of Staff to serve as a strategic partner, operational integrator, and execution leader. This role is responsible for translating the COO’s vision into action, aligning cross‑functional teams, driving operational priorities, and ensuring disciplined execution of key initiatives from an analytical perspective. Up Front Corporate communication and prior consulting experience strongly recommended.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Execution
Partner with the COO to develop, prioritize, and execute company‑wide operational initiatives that promote growth, stabilization, and uniformity.
Translate strategic goals into clear roadmaps, milestones, and KPIs using analytics to find and build solutions to drive efficiency.
Monitor progress on strategic initiatives and ensure accountability across teams by acting as a proxy & advisor when needed.
Prepare executive‑level analysis, dashboards, and recommendations.
Operational Leadership
Drive operational excellence across clinical operations, patient experience, staffing, and infrastructure.
Identify inefficiencies, process gaps, and risk areas; lead improvement initiatives.
Support scaling efforts, including new locations, service lines, or expansions.
Ensure alignment between operations, finance, clinical leadership, and growth teams.
Cross‑Functional Alignment
Act as a central connector across departments (clinical, operations, finance, recruiting, marketing, etc).
Facilitate cross‑functional planning, and communication with high‑level strategic execution‑focused support.
Resolve blockers and elevate issues with clarity and solutions.
Ensure consistent execution of operating rhythms and decision frameworks.
Executive & COO Support
Serve as a trusted advisor to the COO on strategic, operational, and organizational matters, ensuring proper preparation.
Prepare briefing materials, presentations, and talking points for leadership and board meetings.
Manage COO priorities, follow‑ups, and special projects.
Represent the COO in meetings when appropriate.
Performance Management & Analytics
Develop and track operational KPIs related to access, utilization, provider productivity, patient outcomes, and cost management.
Ensure data‑driven decision‑making across teams.
Partner with finance and analytics teams to align performance with financial goals.
Change Management & Culture
Support change management initiatives during periods of growth or transformation.
Reinforce accountability, clarity, and ownership across leadership teams.
Champion operational discipline while maintaining a mission‑driven, patient‑centered culture.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, MHA, MPH, or similar advanced degree preferred.
7+ years of experience in operations, strategy, consulting, healthcare administration, or similar roles.
Prior experience in healthcare, functional medicine, integrative care, or multi‑site clinical operations strongly preferred.
Proven ability to lead complex, cross‑functional initiatives.
Strong analytical, communication, and executive presentation skills.
Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
High emotional intelligence and ability to influence without authority.
Background in scaling healthcare operations or growth‑stage organizations.
Familiarity with value‑based care, provider productivity models, or patient‑centric care delivery.
Experience working in entrepreneurial environments.
