Senior Mechanical Engineer
Minneapolis, Minnesota
BS in Mechanical with 10+ years experience in 3D CAD design (Solidworks), centrifugal compressors, new product development, GD&T, DFMEA, tolerance, casting.
Responsibilities
As a member of the engineering team, design manufacturing equipment for testing and assembling of centrifugal and multi‑stage compressors.
Onsite coordinator for multiple design projects in air compressors for HVAC applications.
New product design & development of compressor subsystems (preferred experience in rotating equipment design).
Conduct design calculations per ASME standards.
Perform DFMEA, risk analysis & mitigation plan as part of new product development.
Coordinate vendors for manufacturability check, RFQ, prototype development & testing.
Qualifications
- Proficient with Solidworks, mechanical and manufacturing systems.
- Experience developing new equipment from concept through launch.
- Knowledge of machining, tolerances, GD&T, material properties.
- Proficiency in selection of materials and OEM components and adoption of engineering principles and technologies during equipment/machine design.
- Experience with engineering change management, analyze and troubleshoot issues.
Compensation: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year.
