This role is for a Regional Clinical Sales Representative to build and own provider relationships in the Research Triangle, NC (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill) area. You will have autonomy to build provider networks, create local market presence, and drive patient enrollment in your region, with strong team support behind you. This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape how we scale nationally.

What You'll Do

Build Provider Referral Networks

– Establish and maintain relationships with primary care physicians, OB/GYNs, specialists, and other healthcare providers across the Raleigh-Durham Triangle area; develop innovative referral channels including family law attorneys who work with clients during divorce transitions; execute provider education through lunch-and-learns, office visits, and relationship-building activities; deliver exceptional service to providers and their patients with white-glove responsiveness; create seamless referral processes that make it easy for providers to connect patients with Meru Health.

Drive Regional Growth

– Own patient enrollment targets for your region with clear metrics and accountability; launch and optimize local awareness initiatives including community partnerships and events; identify and cultivate new referral sources and partnerships in your market; track and report on regional performance, continuously improving based on data.

Collaborate Across Teams

– Partner with clinical team to ensure smooth patient onboarding and high-quality care; work with marketing to adapt messaging and materials for your local market; coordinate with operations on supply chain and capacity planning for your region; share insights with leadership to inform company strategy and national expansion.

Be a Market Expert

– Understand your territory deeply, knowing the key providers, healthcare systems, and community resources; represent Meru Health's clinical approach and value proposition to diverse healthcare audiences; adapt strategies based on local market dynamics and opportunities; document best practices and insights to support company growth.

What Success Looks Like

First 90 Days

– Build relationships with 20+ high-volume healthcare providers; establish 10-15 family law attorney referral partnerships; execute your first provider education events; generate consistent monthly referral flow.

First 6 Months

– Achieve 250+ patient enrollments from provider referrals; build a sustainable referral engine generating 100+ referrals monthly; establish Meru Health as a known and trusted resource in your market; create replicable processes for provider engagement.

First Year

– Drive 600+ patient enrollments from your region; build and maintain 30+ active referring provider relationships; expand into new referral channels and community partnerships; contribute to national strategy based on regional learnings.

Who You Are Required Experience

3+ years in healthcare sales, pharmaceutical sales, medical device sales, or provider relations

Biology, life sciences, or related healthcare background strongly preferred

— you understand clinical concepts and speak the language of healthcare providers

Proven track record building and growing territory from the ground up

— proactive, entrepreneurial, and skilled at creating new opportunities

Currently Based in Research Triangle, NC (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill)

Strong relationship-building skills

Preferred Experience

– Mental health, behavioral health, or related therapeutic area experience; startup or high-growth environments; existing provider network in the Raleigh-Durham triangle area; experience building non-traditional sales channels or partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Provider Network Development

– Identify, engage, and activate 30+ referring providers across multiple specialties; build referral partnerships with family law attorneys (new channel for Meru); execute 2-3 provider education events monthly (lunch-and-learns, presentations, etc.); maintain regular touchpoints with key referral sources.

Patient Enrollment

– Drive 250+ patient enrollments in first 6 months, 600+ annually; ensure exceptional experience for referred patients (white-glove service); track and optimize referral conversion rates; work with clinical team to ensure smooth patient onboarding.

Market Development

– Launch community partnerships and local awareness initiatives; identify and test new referral channels and partnerships; represent Meru at local healthcare and community events; build Meru's brand and reputation in your region.

Performance & Reporting

– Track and report on key metrics: referrals, conversions, provider engagement; analyze what's working and continuously improve your approach; collaborate with internal teams on strategy and execution; document processes and best practices for scalability.

Compensation

Base Salary:

$70,000 annually

Total Target Compensation:

$95,000-$105,000 with strong performance

Commission Structure:

Performance-based bonuses tied to patient enrollments; $50 per patient enrollment; $10,000 bonus for every 500 patient enrollments
