Overview
The Human Resources Generalist reports directly to the Vice President, Human Resources – Corporate Functions and supports the Corporate Functions HR Business Partners to deliver value‑added service to stakeholders. The role requires a deep business literacy of each Corporate Function’s operations, plans and culture. It is office‑based in Jersey City, NJ with a flexible hybrid work model. Responsibilities
Employee Relations
– Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conduct objective investigations, provide support to managers and employees, ensure consistency across locations, maintain legal compliance, and coordinate employee terminations. Employee Engagement
– Monitor employee engagement, oversee the end‑to‑end engagement survey process, analyze onboarding and exit trends, coach employees and managers, participate in town halls, and serve as point of contact for remote work requests. Learning and Development
– Evaluate and monitor training programs, track completion rates, and recommend improvements. HR Operations
– Maintain accurate employee data, process organizational changes, and ensure all correspondence complies with local legal obligations. Compensation & Benefits
– Act as the main contact for payroll, leave, and benefits questions; assist with performance management and salary reviews. Talent Acquisition
– Guide and coach hiring managers to initiate recruitment, and partner with the Talent Acquisition team. Other
– Undertake ad‑hoc projects as needed. Qualifications
3–5 years of hands‑on experience in an HR generalist or specialist capacity. Experience in employee relations, learning & development, HRIS, performance management, recruitment & onboarding; plus experience with diversity & inclusion, talent analytics, or immigration (a plus). Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline (required). Creative, resourceful thinker who translates strategic goals into operational action plans. Strong project management, prioritization, and stakeholder collaboration skills. Excellent oral and written communication; adaptable to different audiences. Analytical skills and proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong business acumen. Knowledge of Oracle (a plus). SHRM‑CP or other HR professional certifications (preferred).
