About the Role:
You’ll be joining one of the most respected, high-caliber RV engineering teams in the industry; working alongside exceptionally talented professionals who are shaping the future of adventure-vehicle design and innovation.
As Mechanical Engineer you will assist in the daily operations of the Design and Engineering team. You will take full ownership of design challenges and deliver on our company philosophy of creating the most futuristic and efficient van in the USA, maintaining the highest quality standard, within budget, and in a timely manner.
General Responsibilities
Develop and adjust SolidWorks part, drawing, and assembly files
Collaborate with Design and Engineering teams to design different vehicle components, prototypes, and production support equipment
Generate manufacturing and inspection (QC) blueprints for both new and current parts
Maintain file and folder organization during model year modifications, revisions, and enhancements
Track and take responsibility for revisions for different supplier and vendor parts
Input part, assembly, and drawing information for vehicle BOM
Reverse engineer supplier parts in case CAD data is required
Support R&D vehicle assembly when necessary
Perform any additional tasks as delegated.
Who You’ll Work With You’ll collaborate closely with our Lead Engineer, and the entire Remote Vans team in a dynamic, fast-paced shop environment.
Qualifications/Skills
SolidWorks Design Experience
General understanding of drafting standards
Comfortable with Solidworks Weldments and Sheet Metal functions
Familiar with sheet metal manufacturing “best practices”
MS Office or G Suite familiarity
High level of attention to detail, and good problem solver
Strong data entry practices and communication skills
Education and Experience
3+ years of SolidWorks Modeling including sheet metal and weldments (full-time work experience)
3+ years of SolidWorks Drafting experience (full-time work experience)
Familiarity with MS Office and G Suite
Prior experience working in or around manufacturing
Proven track record of working in a fast-paced, high-stress position that requires high levels of attention to detail
SolidWorks Certifications preferred (CSWE, CSWP, CSWA)
