Base pay range $120,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr
We are seeking an experienced Financial Audit Manager with a strong background in nonprofit audits to lead and oversee audit engagements from planning through completion. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5-7 years of auditing experience, demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, and possess deep knowledge of nonprofit accounting standards and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage audit engagements for nonprofit organizations, including planning, execution, and reporting
Supervise, mentor, and review work performed by audit staff and seniors
Ensure compliance with GAAP, GAAS, and nonprofit-specific regulations (including Uniform Guidance and Single Audits, where applicable)
Evaluate internal controls and assess audit risk for nonprofit clients
Review financial statements, management letters, and audit reports for accuracy and quality
Coordinate timelines, and budgets to ensure timely and efficient audit delivery
Stay current on changes in auditing standards and nonprofit regulations
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s degree preferred)
CPA license required
Minimum of
5-7 years of public accounting audit experience
Proven experience managing multiple engagements
Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and nonprofit accounting standards
Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Single Audits and Uniform Guidance
Prior supervisory or managerial experience in public accounting
Strong client relationship management skills
