Vaco Phoenix is hiring a Claims Specialist for a well‑established mortgage company here in the Valley. This is a 100% remote opportunity offering up to $30/hour, ideal for someone who thrives in a detail‑heavy, compliance‑driven environment.
Responsibilities
Review and reconcile loan histories across multiple accounts to identify claimable advances
Apply and maintain working knowledge of investor, insurer, and agency guidelines (FHLMC, FNMA, FHA, VA, RHS, etc.)
Compile advances, invoices, and supporting documentation into complete, compliant claim packages
Submit claims through the appropriate internal and government systems to request reimbursement
Reconcile claim proceeds and expenses written off to ensure all eligible amounts are recovered
Accurately post claim funds to the correct accounts and advances
Partner with internal teams to identify process gaps and provide feedback to improve systems and workflows
Requirements
2+ years of mortgage experience filing claims with Freddie/Fannie Mae
Experience filing claims when homes are going through foreclosure
Determining compensation for this role, and others, at Vaco/Highspring depends on factors such as skill set, experience, certifications, and location. The stated salary range is disclosed as required by local law. You may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits, as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
