Job Summary
Mega Bank is looking for an
experienced
bank teller to provide courteous and sound customer services in various operational activities such as processing customer's interest and non-interest bearing accounts transactions, cashing checks, answering customer inquiries, and selling the Bank's official instruments. Other responsibilities shall also include filing documents, call back reports, and recapitulate previous business day's balance.
Job Duties
Provide prompt, efficient and accurate customer services in courteous and professional manner.
Accurately verify and receive deposits in the forms of checks and/or cash for various interest and non-interest depository accounts, carefully verify the cash deposited for the correct amount and authenticity, examine the checks for proper endorsement and its negotiability, the enter each transaction into Bank's on-line terminal for record keeping purpose.
Accurately report all "Hold" depository transactions and large currency transactions.
Accurately cash checks and pay funds from various depository accounts upon properly verify each customer/non-customer's signature, identification, and available account balance. In addition, the teller must inspect and verify all items to determine their negotiability.
Cross-sell Bank's services and products.
Accept all types of loan payments and forward to Loan Department.
Accurately balance teller's cash box.
Properly handle pay-file checks to ensure that the checks are in compliance and timely return checks deemed unacceptable with supervisor's approval.
Properly accept and process stop payments requests.
Comply with regulatory requirements.
Manage risk in every transaction and detect fraudulent transactions to prevent losses.
Resolve customers’ issues and provide relevant information.
Qualifications
Bilingual in Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) and English .
2-4 years of teller experience.
1-3 years of new accounts experience strongly preferred.
Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment (e.g. cash drawers, receipt validators, money counters).
Strong communication and time management skills.
Attention to detail and mathematical skills.
