About The Role
The Pricing Analyst for Uber Advertising is a critical, highly analytical role responsible for defining and optimizing our global pricing strategy. This role owns the development and maintenance of all rate card pricing, requiring a deep understanding of market dynamics, competitive positioning, and cost models. The Analyst will constantly leverage large datasets to perform rigorous analysis, informing data-driven decisions on our complex pricing structures across all advertising products. Success requires translating granular data insights into clear, actionable pricing strategies that maximize revenue, drive adoption, and ensure competitive yet profitable positioning in the fast-paced advertising landscape. What You'll Do
Own Rate Card Development: Design, model, and maintain the global rate card pricing structure for all Uber Advertising products, ensuring competitive and revenue-maximizing positioning Data-Driven Pricing Strategy: Leverage advanced analytical techniques on large datasets (including impression volume, conversion rates, competitive pricing, and user behavior) to establish, test, and refine pricing hypotheses and models Maximize Revenue with Product: Partner closely with Product Management teams from the earliest stages to define the optimal pricing mechanism (e.g., CPM, CPC, fixed fee) and price points that maximize ad revenue and product adoption Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary pricing liaison, working with Data Science to model demand elasticity and predictive inventory, and with Finance for margin and profitability analysis Provide Data Insights and Recommendations: Regularly deliver clear, actionable data insights and strategic recommendations to leadership regarding pricing performance, potential risks, and opportunities for monetization optimization Manage Communication and Governance: Manage all internal and external communications regarding pricing updates, policy changes, and strategic rationale across Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams Competitive Intelligence: Continuously monitor the advertising landscape and competitor pricing strategies, analyzing impact and recommending proactive adjustments to maintain a strategic market advantage Support Deal Desk Function: Provide subject matter expertise and modeling support to the Deal Desk or Sales teams on complex, non-standard deals and RFPs, ensuring compliance with established pricing floors and guardrails Process Optimization: Develop and refine analytical tools and reporting frameworks to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of pricing decision-making and performance monitoring Basic Qualifications
5+ years of experience in a combination of Pricing Analytics, Deal Desk, Commercial Operations, Revenue Strategy, or B2B Product Marketing Advanced proficiency in SQL is required for efficient data extraction, manipulation, and executing complex, high-volume analysis across advertising and transaction datasets Deep expertise in B2B pricing strategies, product bundling, and go-to-market principles Fluency in utilizing BI/Data Visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) is mandatory for effectively presenting complex analytical insights and recommendations to stakeholders Preferred Qualifications
2+ years experience in marketing or advertising industry Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools Familiarity with Order Management Systems Proven ability to partner with and influence senior leaders across Sales, Finance, Legal, and Product
