THE JOB The
Sales Manager – Austin/San Antonio
will lead a team of 9–10 local outside sales reps, with a primary focus on the
Austin
market. This is a field-based leadership role that combines player‑coach responsibilities: you’ll support, train, and develop your reps, while actively engaging in their territories via weekly ride‑along and coaching sessions.
Most deals are struck in‑person with small business owners, using a consultative, high‑touch sales approach. The average sales cycle is 4–6 weeks, and reps typically sell $4K–$5K annual contracts with recurring revenue opportunity.
This role is remote‑friendly for admin work, but requires in‑market presence at least 3–4 times per week in the Austin area. Occasional meetings in San Antonio or Waco are expected for team or leadership meetups.
THE QUALIFICATIONS
3–7+ years in B2B outside sales
2+ years of field sales team leadership, preferably in a local/territory‑based model
Strong ability to coach, mentor, and ride along with field reps
Background in media, advertising, local marketing, or directory sales is a strong plus
Must reside in Austin, TX
