Role Overview As a Regional Sales Manager you will lead a team by developing people to meet both their career goals and the organization’s goals. You’ll also generate revenue by driving and managing profitable sales of our leading brands and Best Experience services.
Responsibilities
35% Direct business to achieve or exceed business objectives
Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
Provide feedback to Customer Service, Operations, manufacturing and accounting to improve customer satisfaction.
Direct prospecting activities in each territory, including cold calls, new customer acquisition strategies, etc.
Prepare sales budgets and approve sales budget expenditures.
25% Manage and develop associates to create a Best Experience
Responsible for hiring, training, development and performance of 8‑17 sales Territory Managers.
Ensure all Territory Managers meet or exceed activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations and sales closes.
Conduct regular coaching and performance evaluation with Territory Managers.
30% Stay current on industry trends and information
Monitor industry trends and customer preferences and adjust focus of sales efforts.
Be well‑informed about current industry trends and talk intelligently, articulately about the window covering industry.
Maintain knowledge of competitive programs, product pricing and how it compares to the corporate program.
10% Manage and monitor business
Ensure actions are within established scope and initiate disciplinary actions when appropriate.
Prepare monthly business review summaries.
Control expenses to meet budget guidelines.

Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field strongly preferred.
Minimum 5 years professional sales experience.
Minimum 3 years sales management experience.
Experience selling consumer products, preferably to independent dealer customers.
Experience with custom products preferred.
50‑60% overnight travel required.
