About the Position The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is seeking a Full‑Time Family Advocacy Intervention Specialist to work at the 19th Medical Group on Little Rock AFB in Jacksonville, Arkansas. The primary purpose of this position is to provide professional clinical social work or marriage and family therapy services in support of the Family Advocacy Program (FAP). The FAIS designs, develops, coordinates and implements the secondary prevention component of FAP, serves as the installation secondary prevention subject‑matter expert (SME), and provides consultation to leadership regarding needs assessment, prevention requirements, and development of secondary prevention services. The FAIS performs crisis intervention, risk and clinical assessments, case management and administrative tasks to prevent and treat child maltreatment and spouse/intimate partner abuse serving beneficiaries over a large geographical area.
Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship
Must possess and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Must meet all applicable credentialing requirements and be fully qualified to practice within the scope of their practice
Must maintain active clinical privileges at the host military treatment facility for the duration of employment
Must have actively practiced as an independent Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist within the past two years
For Social Workers: Must meet OPM 0185 series requirements and hold a current, unrestricted license to practice independently in any U.S. state, DC, Puerto Rico or U.S. Virgin Islands
For Marriage & Family Therapists: Must meet OPM 0101 series requirements and hold a current, unrestricted license to practice independently in any U.S. state, DC, Puerto Rico or U.S. Virgin Islands
