Position Overview
We are seeking a self‑motivated Regional Sales Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, you will work from a home office to manage accounts and independent representatives, providing superior customer support while driving sales growth. This role requires a strategic thinker capable of managing multi‑million dollar sales activities with anticipated annual growth over the next 3–5 years.
Key Responsibilities Territory & Channel Management
Manage a defined territory covering North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, and Florida.
Oversee sales channels, including manufacturer’s representatives, distributors, and strategic partners.
Travel throughout the territory as required (estimated 50‑75%) and visit the factory at least once per year for training and team building.
Strategic Sales & Growth
Drive and implement specific sales strategies and product initiatives across your area of responsibility.
Identify customers’ strategic direction and needs related to the company’s core competencies.
Manage large programs and projects across common customer or product capabilities.
Develop and maintain territory forecasts to ensure financial goals are achieved.
Technical Support & Operations
Provide detailed training on Alta products and offer pre‑sales technical support to customers.
Assist in developing new company product concepts to expand the market base.
Assist accounting and administration with the management of customer orders, payments, quality processes, and receivables.
Ensure all sales processes utilize professional, ethical, and legal practices.
Qualifications & Requirements Education & Experience
Education:
BS Degree in Electrical Engineering (E.E.), Computer Science (C.S.), or equivalent experience in the avionics/electronic industry.
Experience:
3 to 5 years of experience in a technical sales or management/engineering application support role.
Industry Knowledge:
Experience in the aerospace and/or commercial market environment at the engineering or program management level is preferred.
Skills & Technical Knowledge
Specific experience with MIL‑STD‑1553, ARINC and avionics communications systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication with effective interpersonal skills.
Strong technical aptitude, including experience with CRM tools, virtual presentation platforms (Zoom/Teams), and data analysis using Excel.
Ability to work independently from a home office without daily supervision.
Compensation Base pay: $200,000.00/yr – $250,000.00/yr. Additional compensation: Annual Bonus.
