We are looking for an

Account Manager

at

Airgas

in San Antonio, TX.

Location: San Antonio, TX – industrial territory. Base salary plus commission, monthly auto allowance and mileage reimbursement. Travel within assigned territory is required.

Responsibilities

Cultivate and manage a robust sales pipeline from lead generation to close.

Drive profitable sales growth and manage the sales process for an assigned territory, serving both existing and new Airgas customers.

Sell a range of products, including industrial, medical and specialty gases, equipment, welding products, tools, hardware and safety products.

Maintain consistent communication with District, Branch, Sales and Plant Managers to ensure complete customer service and satisfaction.

Develop and execute sales plans utilizing Airgas sales directives and guidelines.

Qualify and pursue sales leads; build consultative relationships with customers.

Prepare sales proposals, quoting pricing, establishing credit terms and delivery dates.

Monitor competition, gather market intelligence and provide industry insights.

Partner with internal resources to achieve growth objectives and maintain clear communication across departments.

Maintain and submit sales reports (daily call reports, weekly work plans, monthly and annual territory analyses) via SAP.

Review and manage customer accounts receivable balances to minimize working capital investment and financial risk.

Qualifications

High School Diploma required.

Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle with insurance coverage.

Proficiency with Word, Excel, SAP and other computer applications.

Professional presence and demeanor reflecting a corporate office environment.

High energy, self‑starter with strong customer service and relationship orientation.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational and time‑management skills.

Minimum of 3 years of outside business‑to‑business sales experience, including proven solution‑selling and management of a defined sales territory.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Knowledge of industrial gases, welding supplies and hardware desired.

Proven change management skills including building sponsorship, communications and stakeholder management.

Ability to multi‑task in a high volume setting; strong analytical and communication skills.

Team orientation with a continuous improvement outlook.

Ability to write routine business reports and business correspondence; effectively present information and respond to questions.

Familiarity with industrial and specialty gases, industrial gas/welding supplies sales a plus.
