Industrial Fire Watch/Firefighters

with a passion for fire safety and a demonstrated commitment to cultivating a positive, collaborative work environment. Job Summary

We are looking for a Fire Watchman to join our team and oversee work areas where welding and other hazardous work is being carried out to prevent fires and other accidents from occurring. These positions are considered a safety sensitive position and are subject to both the Company’s and the Client’s Industrial Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy, which includes: pre-employment testing, post-accident testing, random testing, reasonable suspicion testing, return to duty testing and follow-up testing. Responsibilities

Constantly patrolling the areas where “hot work” is being performed, maintaining vigilance for potential fires. Be familiar with facilities and procedures for sounding an alarm in the event of a fire and having a means of notifying emergency services. Inspect the entire work area to look for potential release of flammable vapors or liquids before, during, and at the end of each shift. Be prepared to operate fire extinguishers, hydrants, fixed monitors, and hose carts anytime. Remain calm and poised in all emergency situations and gain rapid control over the problem at hand. Administer first aid to injured parties at their appropriate level of training. Quickly analyze situations where life safety is threatened and apply the correct treatment. Safely operate company vehicles and equipment as directed. Perform routine non-firefighting work tasks, such as working on company records, timecards and other related paperwork. Function satisfactorily as a team member of a fire company at any emergency or non-emergency scene, and willingly accept their share of the work required. Project a positive attitude and image to the client as a fire service professional to meet the client’s needs. Work effectively in following policies and procedures. Minimum Required Qualifications

Certifications

Valid Driver’s License. Must possess a state issued, International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) or Fire Service Professional Qualifications System (ProBoard) certifications as a minimum: Firefighter I; Hazardous Materials-Operations. Must possess a state issued or National Registered EMT-B. Must possess a current CPR/AED certification. Completion of NIMS ICS-100, 200, 700, and 800 at time of hire. Experience

Must be able to work any shift assigned, including holidays and weekends to include scheduled and unscheduled overtime and as needed on an emergency basis. Education

Must be a high school graduate or possess a GED certificate. Licensing

Valid driver license with acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy. DUI within last 5 years is disqualifying. *Get paid to work with your friends!
