Job Summary TRULAND Equipment, a leading John Deere dealer with 18 locations across Indiana and Ohio, seeks a hardworking Parts Outside Salesperson to build customer relationships by traveling to customer locations to sell parts, provide service, and promote aftermarket promotions. You will deliver exceptional service while supplying customers with timely, accurate information regarding accounts, products, rates, and services offered.

Responsibilities

Market parts sales such as extended warranties, maintenance plans, and special parts promotions.

Provide recommendations for sales of additional related or needed parts or accessories.

Be actively engaged and knowledgeable about the corporate parts promotion schedule.

Process all orders accurately and timely (in-store, online, pick‑up, delivery).

Locate and obtain merchandise for customers; coordinate with Parts Inventory Team when items are not stocked.

Maintain customer inventory integrity through cycle counts, discrepancy follow‑up, and issue escalation.

Meet or exceed monthly sales goals.

Provide excellent customer service at customers’ places of business, at the counter, on the phone, and internally.

Maintain a positive, professional relationship with peers, management, and support resources; commit to teamwork and exemplary service.

Enforce and monitor effective Parts Department processes to ensure internal and external satisfaction.

Help keep the parts department clean and orderly.

Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in an agricultural field preferred.

2+ years of parts experience or equivalent sales/service experience.

Experience connecting with customers, maintaining a professional image, and establishing rapport.

Basic understanding of the selling process.

Ability to manage multiple projects with independence.

Experience working both independently and in a team setting.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work extended hours and weekends.

Proficiency with standard desktop applications (Microsoft Office, internet, etc.).

Ability to use a handheld barcode scanner.

Valid driver’s license required.

Ability to lift 75 pounds.

Driving record meeting employer’s insurance company requirements.
