Our New Home Sales Consultants take care of our customers throughout every step of the process, regardless of their situation. Position Overview This is a commission-based role
As a New Home Sales Consultant, your mission is to serve as a trusted guide during the home‑buying sales process, navigating buyers through what they perceive to be an intimidating process and helping to make their home‑ownership dreams come true. You will learn and use the Starlight Sales process while demonstrating exceptional customer service. You will be part of a team building a strong foundation of values and culture, and the ambition to grow the company into greatness. New Home Sales Consultants receive four weeks of award‑winning training.
Responsibilities
Deliver outstanding customer service through inbound phone calls in accordance with the Starlight homes training, educating interested parties about products, setting appointments, and answering questions in a professional manner.
Develop, practice, and deliver a good sales presentation consistent with company training.
Maintain a high level of activity, including engaging with new prospects, following up with interested prospects, and setting appointments to close.
Respond to customer queries promptly and efficiently.
Maintain good communication with Starlight Homes team members.
Attend and actively participate in weekly meetings as scheduled.
Communicate with Sales Manager and present organized information regarding passive and engaged prospects.
Utilize all resources to transition leads into prospective customers and consistently follow up with customers who are under contract.
Generate referrals by upholding a high standard of customer service and satisfaction.
Enter leads, appointments, and all communication into Salesforce daily.
Develop and maintain relationships with realtors, including visiting real‑estate offices, networking, and conducting business with realtors.
Other Responsibilities
Present Starlight homes in a knowledgeable and professional manner.
Be a subject‑matter expert on the home‑building process, able to educate prospects on what to expect throughout the process.
Immerse yourself in community information and trends, including schools, utilities, tax information, recreational areas, shopping areas, and any other information requested by Starlight clients.
Work with all clients to understand and identify their vision and align the perfect home to meet their needs.
Use training modules to stay consistent with Starlight’s process and continuously strive to improve sales delivery.
Call all customers the night before loan application to ensure they are prepared with all necessary documents.
Call all customers the night of sale to congratulate them on their new home and thank them for choosing Starlight Homes.
Call all customers under contract at least once a week to maintain customer rapport.
Respond to phone calls and e‑mails between Starlight team members within 24 hours.
Qualifications
At least 2 years of direct sales or customer service experience.
Valid/active driver’s license.
Ability to work weekends (may have Monday/Tuesday off or Thursday/Friday off).
Work onsite at the model home or mobile office within the community.
Experience with Microsoft Office products and ability to learn new software programs.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Exemplify a high level of professionalism in appearance and daily interactions with team, management, and customers.
Support all members of the team and exude a collaborative approach to ensure success of self and others.
Maintain an adaptable and flexible attitude.
Must handle high‑volume situations.
Strong work ethic, drive, positive attitude, and decision‑making skills.
Maintain an organized workspace and help keep the office presentable.
Typical Physical & Mental Demands
Read, write, and speak fluently in English; perform calculations.
Employees must be able to hear and have vision sufficient to utilize all office equipment.
Use of hands and fingers is required to utilize standard office equipment.
Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.
