Recreation Specialist
Solano County seeks an experienced Recreation Specialist to manage daily recreation and programming operations of the assigned park.
Description The primary function of this employee is to manage the daily recreation and programming operations of the assigned park. Under occasional supervision, this employee develops, coordinates and implements programs, activities and events to meet the recreation and leisure needs of the community. Performs related administrative and professional work as required.
Typical Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in parks, recreation and tourism, leisure services or a related field supplemented by one to two years of responsible experience in parks and recreation programming or childcare, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
Communication skills; grant writing experience; basic carpentry and other trade skills.
