Join Dollar General as a Lead Sales Associate (Part‑Time). This role is open to candidates who are 21 years of age or older and is located at the EIGHT MILE store, AL S00710.

Responsibilities
Function as a cashier and/or stocker and lead in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
Assist in setting and maintaining plan‑ograms and programs to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
Unloading trucks, receiving, opening, and unpacking cartons and totes.
Stock merchandise, rotate and face items on shelves, and build displays.
Restock returned and recovered merchandise; order zones and drop shipment categories as assigned.
Assist customers by locating merchandise, providing superior customer service leadership, and handling returns and overrides under supervision.
Clean store floors, restrooms, and stockroom; maintain register countertops and implement plan‑ograms.
Operate cash register and flatbed scanner, collect payment, make change, and bag merchandise.
Help set up sidewalk displays and keep the store clean, well‑organized, and safe.
Support cash register management, including counting, deposits, and bank deposits.
Maintain strict cashier accountability, key control, and security practices.
Monitor cash levels and cameras for unusual activity, if applicable.
Complete required paperwork and documentation on time.
Open and close the store under specific direction of the Area Manager.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and at least six months of supervisory experience (or related training).
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and use a cash register.
Knowledge of cash handling procedures, cashier accountability, deposit control, and facility safety policies.
Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills.
Ability to read and follow plan‑ograms and merchandise presentation guidance.
Understanding of safety policies and practices.
