Responsibilities As an Outside Sales Rep, you’ll be responsible for understanding Orkin’s products and services and selling them to a variety of industries. You’ll make strategic recommendations to new and existing customers to help prevent pests, uphold quality and safety, and satisfy their regulatory standards.

Prioritize safety in all responsibilities.

Conduct yourself with utmost professionalism and integrity with customers and coworkers.

Serve as an empathetic problem solver for commercial customers using in‑depth training to recommend the best innovative solution.

Achieve sales goals through prospecting new business and assigned leads.

Utilize marketing tools to drive new business development.

Conduct inspections of the interior and exterior of customers’ properties.

Make recommendations based on inspections and address questions, explain solutions, and set expectations.

Use the iPad provided to prepare sales agreements and stay organized.

Estimated first compensation: $70,000 – $120,000 USD annually (base salary plus uncapped commission).

Qualifications Minimum Requirements:

No pest control experience required.

Sales or customer relationship management experience preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Valid driver’s license required.

Ability to obtain necessary pesticide license/certification if required (company paid).

Ability to work independently in the field and interact with customers inside their businesses and homes.

Physical Demands / Working Conditions Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform duties with or without accommodations.

Safely use a ladder within manufacturer weight capacity.

Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, etc., including climbing or balancing and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.

Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), sometimes requiring an OSHA‑compliant respirator.

Willing to work in different weather conditions.
