The Role We are seeking a Product Marketing Manager to support positioning and go‑to‑market execution for our Cloudera Open Data Lakehouse family of products and services. This role requires a mix of market expertise and hands‑on execution to message how Cloudera’s Open Data Lakehouse capabilities are brought to market. You will be a trusted partner to product, sales, and marketing leadership, influencing market and revenue growth. You will be defining how Cloudera's Open Data Lakehouse products, centered around Apache Iceberg, Apache Spark, Trino, and other related technologies, deliver unparalleled value and flexibility to enterprise customers.

In this role, you will have a blend of critical thinking, storytelling, and analysis, helping to develop product positioning, craft compelling narratives that resonate with enterprise decision‑makers, create exceptional go‑to‑market content, support current and new sales plays, equip sales with the tools to effectively articulate value, and use data to measure impact and iterate on strategies for continuous improvement. You will collaborate with the product marketing team and cross‑functionally with field marketing, customer advocacy, product management, and sales teams to produce cohesive and impactful materials and analysis to accelerate customer adoption.

Responsibilities

Support positioning and messaging for Cloudera’s rapidly evolving Open Data Lakehouse capabilities, articulating clear differentiation against competitors.

Support go‑to‑market planning for Open Data Lakehouse features and launches, ensuring alignment across sales, marketing, and product management.

Develop high‑impact and innovative content (sales plays, solution briefs, competitive battlecards, analyst decks, thought leadership blogs) tailored to both technical and executive audiences.

Enable the field and partners with training, tools, and messaging that drive confidence in Open Data Lakehouse sales conversations.

Conduct competitive and market intelligence, synthesizing insights on our Open Data Lakehouse to guide strategy and proactively identify competitive threats and market opportunities.

Partner with product management, ensuring customer, analyst, and market feedback is reflected in roadmaps.

Represent Cloudera externally in analyst briefings, industry events, webinars, and customer meetings as an Open Data Lakehouse subject matter expert and thought leader.

Measure and optimize impact of Open Data Lakehouse‑focused campaigns, launches, and enablement to ensure outcomes are tied to adoption and pipeline growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, computer science, or a related field; MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus.

2‑3+ years of experience in product marketing or technical marketing within the cloud data warehouse, lakehouse, or data lake market.

Familiarity with open source database, data lake, and lakehouse technologies including Apache Iceberg, Apache Spark, and Trino.

Familiarity with Data Science, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence.

Proven track record of developing positioning and messaging for complex technical solutions and driving adoption in enterprise markets.

Demonstrated experience leading end‑to‑end product launches and building Go‑to‑Market (GTM) strategies that deliver measurable business impact.

Exceptional writing and storytelling skills catering to diverse internal and external audiences, including executives, practitioners, analysts, and partners.

Ability to work cross‑functionally, influence stakeholders, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Exceptional personal management skills with a proven track record of driving projects to completion on time.

Proven strategic thinking ability, effective prioritization skills, and a track record of driving results in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with diverse needs.
