Associate Designer

Role Description This is a full-time role for an Associate Designer. The Associate Designer will be responsible for assisting in the design and development of swimwear collections, creating technical sketches, researching trends, and selecting fabrics and trims. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the design vision is executed accurately and attending fittings to make necessary adjustments to designs. This is an on-site role, located in New York, NY.

Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

Assist creating/updating CADs and tech flats

Trend/competitive research

Assist in trend/mood board research

Assist in meeting preparations

Work with cross functional teams to request development samples

Qualifications

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop

Strong understanding of garment construction, technical sketches, and fabric selection

Ability to research fashion trends and apply them to swimwear designs

Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams

Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Previous experience in swimwear or fashion design is preferred

Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field
