Job Summary An innovative leader responsible for the In‑Home Design program, translating client needs into actionable concepts, conducting insightful consultations, and fortifying sales teams with design expertise.

Training Pay: $22/hour for 2 weeks (no commission)

Average Earning Potential After Training: $60,000 − $80,000 (inclusive of base and commission)

Key Responsibilities

Promote the La‑Z‑Boy In‑Home Design program, draft solutions, present customized portfolios to achieve or surpass sales goals.

Achieve annual operating benchmarks and personal objectives.

Schedule and conduct in‑home consultations to understand client needs, preferences, and vision.

Partner with Store and Sales Managers to provide coaching, training, and support to sales teams, improving design culture and product knowledge.

Collaborate with the team to ensure operational excellence.

Create design concepts and digital presentations with finish selections, furnishings, and decor.

Translate client lifestyle, taste, and budget into actionable recommendations.

Ensure proper execution of systems and procedures; support store management with meetings and special projects.

Adhere to legal and accounting practices; uphold brand standards.

Uphold store cleanliness and visual standards.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

2–3 years in sales or interior design, residential emphasis.

Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, CAD programs; financial and analytical skills; strong communication and customer service.

Ability to work the schedule required by business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Requirements

Design certification.

Advanced interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills; business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit; experience building relationships.

Physical Demands / Work Environment

Lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.

Operate motor vehicle.

Stand for long periods; repetitive hand motions, hearing, listening.

Often required to sit, walk, bend, stoop; inside conditions; pass background and drug screen.

Compensation and Benefits

Total Compensation Range: $45,000 – $80,000.

Post‑Training Base Pay: $45,000 draw per year, against commission.

Commission & Bonus: UNCAPPED monthly commission 2.5%–5.5% on individual written sales, based on meeting goals.

Weekly Hours: 40.

Benefits: Medical, Vision, Dental, Basic Life Insurance; 401(k) with company match up to 6%; paid holidays (9–11), two weeks prorated vacation, personal time/sick time.
