Mill Machinist
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Swing Shift CNC Mill Set-up Technician to join our team. This role requires working from 3pm to 11:30pm, focusing on precision CNC machining to fabricate metallic and non-metallic parts. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in CNC mill machining, particularly at an intermediate to journeyman level, and be adaptable to established processes. Responsibilities Perform short run, precision CNC machining and manage 1st runs. Set up and operate CNC machining centers to fabricate precision machined parts. Specialize in setting up mill turn sub spindle live tooling lathes independently. Collaborate closely with programming and manufacturing managers for cycle time reduction and machine optimization. Provide guidance and instruction to other machine operators and machinists. Contribute to CNC programming and machining center operations using CAD and CAM software. Ensure efficient production, on-time delivery, and product quality meets customer specifications. Essential Skills Intermediate to journeyman level CNC mill machining experience. Ability to set up and operate CNC machining equipment. Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting CAD drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Experience with vertical and horizontal milling, turning centers, and multi-axis machines. Strong sense of urgency and process orientation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with 5-axis CNC mills. Knowledge of Mastercam and Renishaw probe systems. Experience with Mazak CNCs is a plus. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
