Location: Strider World Headquarters, Rapid City, SD Type: Full-Time Reports to: Marketing Director We’re looking for a creative, energetic Social Media Manager who loves storytelling, understands parents and kids, and knows how to bring outdoor adventure to life online. You’ll own our social channels and help shape a vibrant, positive community around active kids and outdoor play. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a social media strategy that reflects our mission and brand voice Create and publish engaging content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest) Capture and tell real stories of kids exploring, learning, and adventuring outdoors Write fun, encouraging captions that resonate with parents and inspire kids Plan and manage social content calendars around seasons, launches, and campaigns Engage with parents, well known brands, and the outdoor community through comments and DMs Monitor trends and adapt them in a brand-safe, kid-friendly way Track performance metrics and optimize content based on insights Collaborate with marketing, product, and partnerships teams Qualifications Experience managing social media for a brand or organization Strong understanding of social platforms and short-form video trends Excellent writing and storytelling skills Experience with content scheduling and analytics tools Comfortable working with family-friendly, kid-safe content guidelines Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects Nice to Have Experience in outdoor recreation, youth brands, education, or family-focused companies Experience with influencer or ambassador programs Physical Demands Must be able to lift, carry, and move items up to 30 lbs Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time using a phone, computer keyboard and monitor Location & Hours This position is in Rapid City, SD Regular office hours are Mon-Thurs 7:30am to 5 pm and Friday 8 to 12 Hours will be flexed to achieve a 40-hour week What we Offer $20-$25 per hour depending upon experience and up to 20% annual bonus eligibility. This full time, non-exempt position qualifies for a full benefits package that includes paid sick leave, paid vacation, a 401K plan, health insurance and an extensive list of perks.
