OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE The Strategic Account Executive will be responsible for an assigned book of business; coordinates with GHP’s internal teams to effectively and efficiently resolve client issues, complete projects, and strengthen relationships with clients; acts as the internal advocate to ensure timely delivery of projects and issue resolution; consults on prescription benefit and formulary plan design, and other products and services offered by GHP; maintains accountability for client satisfaction, retention, and growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES Develops strong business partnerships and manages assigned accounts with a focus on client trend management, strategic plan development and execution, and cultivating multi-level client relationships. Becomes a trusted advisor to clients and owns the strategic client relationship; executes against the business strategy in partnership with internal teams and regularly reports progress; facilitates regular account meetings to review client strategies, program activities and participation rates; leads the annual planning process and engages key internal and external stakeholders. Ensures client satisfaction; maintains regular client communications; prepares and presents effective presentations, proposals and communications; translates marketplace information into the client’s language and context; creates value for the client after fully researching client needs. Makes sound business decisions and recommendations based upon an appropriate balance of analysis of facts, experience, intuition and the implications for the client. Maintains a complete understanding of client contract terms and ensures that contracts are monitored and reported as stated in the terms; monitors client rebate trends; reviews financial and clinical reports with clients; prepares and leads clients to make sound business decisions; creates programs that meet the product, clinical, service and financial needs of clients. Actively engages in the development of new opportunities for partnerships. Collaborates closely with internal team members to seek innovative solutions to problems and processes to ensure client success; oversees and ensures timely resolution of client issues; communicates any changes in client status to the appropriate functional area; drives internal discourse regarding client activities and issues resolution. Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the organizations’ products, services, mission and values; maintains a strong knowledge of markets, industry trends, products and services; understands and remains current with the health industry, specifically pharmacy benefit management; serves as a resource and subject matter expert in various processes, products or services offered. Manages client contract renewal activities with the primary goal of retaining clients; participates in the bid/renewal process and sales preparation meetings and presentations; oversees new client set-ups; engages in successful sell-in of new programs and services. Exhibits compliant and ethical behavior in the performance of duties, including complying with all federal and state laws and regulations and company policies and procedures. Travel, as required (estimated at 25%). Promptly report any allegations of impropriety to the Compliance Department.

QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor’s Degree Experience: 5+ years in pharmacy industry (i.e. PBM, Health Plans, Consultants) in a client facing role.

REQUIRED SKILLS Proficient pharmacy industry understanding includes the interplay of components like formulary management, rebate management, retail networks, specialty distribution and member benefits. Advanced PBM Financial acumen to understand short- and long-term impact of decisions as it relates to rebates. Demonstrated success in growing revenue from a book of business. Team player at all levels of the organization and within client structures. Effective communicator.
