Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Located in the San Juan Capistrano area, this opportunity is ideal for a licensed Physical Therapist seeking a part-time to full-time contract position within a K-12 public school setting. The role involves providing specialized physical therapy services to students ranging from preschool through high school during an active maternity leave coverage through the end of the current school year. Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct physical therapy services to a caseload currently consisting of approximately 35 students. Manage and document individualized treatment plans, ensuring interventions meet educational and developmental goals. Collaborate with educators, parents, and interdisciplinary teams to support student progress. Maintain compliance with state licensure and educational regulations. Qualifications: Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Active California Physical Therapist License. Experience working in school-based settings preferred but open to 0-2 years with competitive pay based on experience. Strong communication and organizational skills. Position Details: Contract duration: Immediate start through June 5, 2026. Flexible scheduling available; approximately 20 hours per week minimum, with preference for 30+ hours. Assignment to schools within the local district will be determined based on caseload needs. Employment is onsite, allowing for direct engagement with students and staff.
