Job Description: Prep Cook

As a prep cook, your primary responsibility is to assist the kitchen team by preparing ingredients and performing initial food preparation tasks. You play a crucial role in ensuring the availability of properly prepped items for efficient and timely meal service.
Responsibilities
Ingredient Preparation:
Wash, peel, chop, and dice vegetables, fruits, and other food items according to specified recipes and kitchen standards.
Measuring and Mixing:
Measure and mix ingredients, following recipes and portion control guidelines.
Stock Maintenance:
Keep track of ingredient inventory, restock as needed, and notify the chef or kitchen manager of low supplies.
Food Safety:
Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring proper storage and handling of ingredients.
Station Setup:
Set up workstations with necessary ingredients, tools, and equipment for the kitchen staff.
Collaboration:
Work closely with chefs, line cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth coordination in the food preparation process.
Cleaning and Organization:
Maintain cleanliness in the prep area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and proper disposal of waste.
Qualifications
Basic Culinary Skills:
Knowledge of basic culinary techniques and food preparation methods.
Attention to Detail:
