Manager, Global Trade Professional – Technology Management (Remote) Join Collins Aerospace as a Manager, Global Trade Professional – Technology Management. As a resident expert in Jurisdiction Classification and Harmonized Tariff Schedule determinations, you will blend technical acumen with regulatory precision to safeguard the company’s global operations. This high‑impact, individual‑contributor role partners closely with engineering, compliance, and leadership teams to drive consistency, accuracy, and innovation in export and import classification processes across the Avionics business.

Location Remote – U. S. (eligible to travel 10% of the time)

Key Responsibilities

Work under U.S. Export Administration Regulation (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR)

Perform sophisticated JC classification analysis, determination, and validation (resolution of JC escalation, issues, etc.)

Conduct HTS (HS) classifications

Support investigations and reviews of possible global trade escapes and disclosures, root‑cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions

Analyze business and technology needs with respect to export authorization requirements

Provide support for Commodity Jurisdiction (CJ) and Commodity Classification Automated Tracking System (CCATS) to government agencies

Develop and deliver formal and informal JC and HTS focal training and classification auditing

Travel 10% of the time as required

Qualifications You Must Have

University degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience (or advanced degree with 5 years of experience)

U.S. citizenship (required)

3+ years of experience classifying U.S. Export Regulations (ITAR/EAR)

3+ years of experience classifying harmonized systems

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration

Engineering and/or technical background with demonstrated analytical capability

Prior experience in aerospace programs or technical environments

Familiarity with Collins Aerospace and/or RTX trade processes, including classifications, authorizations, logging, compliant transfer modes, and record keeping; experience with Collins‑specific Global Trade systems (GTS, SAP, OCR, MKDenial, xClass, TEXPORT) strongly preferred

Experience interpreting and applying non‑U.S. export and import regulations
