This role focuses on nurturing and expanding client relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and driving revenue growth. The Account Manager will work closely with mining clients, providing technical solutions and advancing our mining vertical strategy.
Base Pay Range US$83,000–124,000 per year (plus quarterly profit sharing).
Other Compensation Stock options.
Success Criteria
Proven outside sales experience or B2B sales acumen.
Industry knowledge in oil & gas, mining, utilities, or heavy industry (mining highly preferred).
Industrial engineered product knowledge (valves, instrumentation, pumps, process controls).
Fit Assessment
Candidates with only retail or consumer sales experience are unlikely to succeed.
Inability to visit industrial sites with required PPE is a drawback.
Lack of familiarity with engineered equipment and automation solutions limits fit.
Key Responsibilities
Support all activities on assigned accounts, including sales forecasts, gross profit forecasts, territory, and account plans.
Identify customers’ key business issues and develop solutions using Caltrol’s products and services.
Assist Inside Sales in preparing quotes, sourcing equipment, and closing orders; expedite delivery where necessary.
Ensure timely completion of quotes and facilitate follow‑up to secure sales.
Maintain and update project tracking tools and participate in scheduled review sessions.
Develop deep industry knowledge for key and strategic accounts.
Build relationships with industry partners to stay informed of market needs.
Qualifications
4‑year degree or equivalent experience.
2–4 years in technical sales, account management, or business development within industrial automation, mining, or heavy industries.
Strong record of B2B sales success (new customer acquisition and account growth).
Background managing complex sales cycles and multi‑Business‑Unit opportunities.
Comfortable engaging from plant floor to executive leadership levels.
Proficiency with CRM tools, pipeline management, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Experience with virtual collaboration tools (Microsoft Teams, Outlook, SharePoint).
Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
Valid driver’s license with a clean DMV record.
Willingness and ability to travel frequently to remote locations.
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related technical field.
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
