What is the role? The Sr. Business Strategy Manager role is a strategic commercial role responsible for Aerogen’s American growth strategy identification, revenue accelerations plans, and leadership within the North American Leadership Team. The role will work in close partnership with both local and global teams to enable the rapid development of strategies, intelligence, programs, and business objectives that propel our business forward now and into the future.
What are the key responsibilities?
Drive strategic planning: Lead and execute the strategic and operational planning process for the Americas, ensuring clear alignment of departmental goals with overall company objectives to drive revenue growth, market share expansion, and profitability.
M&A and business case development: Partner on potential M&A opportunities, conducting rigorous evaluation, due diligence, and business case development to assess strategic fit and financial impact.
Long‑term vision & execution: Lead the development of 5‑year strategic roadmaps, including scenario planning, financial modeling, and risk assessment to future‑proof business growth.
Performance measurement & KPI tracking: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to market penetration, revenue growth, customer acquisition, and overall business impact.
Leadership & Strategic Influence
Executive collaboration: Partner with VP Americas and senior leadership to translate high‑level strategic goals into operational execution plans that drive measurable business impact.
Decision support & impact analysis: Provide in‑depth analysis and insights on the impact of executive decisions on company budgets, market positioning, and overall business performance.
Project leadership & execution excellence: Lead large‑scale, cross‑functional initiatives, applying project management best practices to deliver high‑quality strategic outcomes.
Executive business communications: Develop compelling business cases, presentations, and executive reports that drive informed decision‑making at the senior leadership level.
Agile strategy execution: Work closely with commercial, sales, marketing, and operations teams to translate strategy into action, ensuring continuous refinement based on market feedback.
What Education and Experience are required?
5+ years of strategic business experience, preferably in medical devices, hospital healthcare, or a related industry.
Proven expertise in business strategy, market analysis, and financial modelling, with a focus on driving growth and operational excellence.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint to build data‑driven insights, strategic presentations, and financial models.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex business challenges into actionable solutions.
What key skills will make you great at the role?
Experience in global manufacturing organisations, with exposure to R&D, Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Operations.
Expertise in respiratory therapy and acute care hospital settings.
Proven ability to work with key hospital stakeholders, including MDs, nurses, and pharmacy directors.
