What is the role? Aerogen is seeking a Marketing Manager - Floors to join the North American (NA) Downstream Marketing team. This role will help lead downstream marketing initiatives from inception to launch. Specifically, this individual will play a critical role in driving the commercial success of Aerogen products on Hospital Floors. This position is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives and programs that directly support sales growth, enhance brand positioning, and build strong relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and key opinion leaders (KOLs). This individual will report to the North America Director of Marketing - Downstream. They will work in strong partnership with sales leadership, clinical education, global cross‑functional partners and third‑party vendors and consultants. This is a key role in Aerogen’s strategic growth over the next five (5) years with broader and deeper penetration of segments as well as commercial growth in one of our largest markets. This role requires a proactive and results‑oriented individual with a deep understanding of the Floor care segment, strong analytical skills, and proven experience in building and executing effective marketing strategies. This is an opportunity for an experienced marketing professional to make a significant impact on advancing healthcare and improving patient outcomes through strategic and effective downstream marketing initiatives.
What are the key responsibilities?
Downstream Marketing: Translate business objectives into comprehensive Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies encompassing segmentation, targeting, positioning, messaging, and launch programs. Oversee the development and execution of omni‑channel marketing campaigns—including digital, traditional, event‑based, content, social media, email, and paid media initiatives to enhance brand awareness, increase market share, and drive revenue growth for Aerogen on Hospital Floors.
Market Knowledge: Attain a comprehensive understanding of Aerogen’s business, competitor landscape, market dynamics, and relevant care settings, with particular emphasis on the Floors. Consistently analyze market trends and monitor competitor activities; convert findings into strategic initiatives and recommendations and effectively communicate market intelligence to Global and Field teams.
Clinical Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of respiratory care, various disease states, treatments, and clinical information relevant to Aerogen on Hospital Floors. Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) to guide strategy, encourage advocacy, and promote the clinical use of Aerogen products within hospital settings. Collaborate with Medical Affairs on Hospital Quality Improvement (QI) Projects to drive Aerogen’s clinical and financial value on Hospital Floors.
Project Management: Oversee various project timelines and deliverables by collaborating with cross‑functional teams for omni‑channel marketing campaigns. Make sure projects launch successfully and promotional activities align with business goals, schedules, and budgets. Monitor, assess, and report on campaign and project outcomes, leveraging data insights to adjust resources, streamline workflows, and continually enhance marketing performance. Document key takeaways from every project to improve future campaign strategies, processes, and stakeholder engagement for ongoing growth.
Business Acumen: Take full ownership of the Floors portfolio by applying leadership, strategy, financial knowledge, and marketing skills. Create and implement marketing plans using market intelligence, Voice‑Of‑Customer (VOC) insights, and segment trends to guide positioning, pricing, and promotion, supporting product adoption and sales growth in Hospital Floors. Use analytics to track KPIs and adjust tactics as needed.
Product Management: Manage the entire NA product journey, including lifecycle management, budgeting and pricing strategies, while offering guidance on tools to boost Aerogen adoption within Hospital Floors. Work together with Global Marketing and New Product Commercialization to represent the needs of the US and Canada businesses and contribute ideas for future product enhancements.
Strategic Planning: Establish clear, ambitious marketing goals and designing strategies with KPIs that directly support business objectives. Analyze market needs, collect customer insights, and equip teams with persuasive sales materials, effective training, and messaging that highlights Aerogen’s value on Hospital Floors.
What education and experience are required?
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
5+ years in Medical Device Marketing/Product Management or related work experience required.
5+ years in medical respiratory devices preferred.
Previous work experience in a similar role in MedTech is strongly preferred.
Marketing, Business or related field degree/experience preferred.
Sales Experience preferred.
