About Us At Greens at Spruce Pine, we believe in enriching the lives of our residents through engaging and meaningful activities. We are looking for a compassionate, creative, and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team and help bring joy to our senior community.
Responsibilities
Assist with planning, organizing, and implementing recreational programs and activities.
Lead group and individual activities, including games, crafts, music, exercise, and special events.
Encourage resident participation and adapt activities to meet varying physical and cognitive abilities.
Help with transporting residents to and from activity areas.
Maintain activity supplies and help set up/clean up activity spaces.
Document resident participation and progress as required.
Collaborate with other staff to enhance residents’ overall quality of life.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a senior care or recreational setting is a plus.
Positive, patient, and enthusiastic attitude.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be able to push wheelchairs and assist residents safely.
CPR/First Aid certification (preferred but not required).
