The opportunity We are seeking an experienced Tax Professional and Accountant to join our team. This role involves preparing a variety of tax returns and performing general accounting tasks for our clients. A key responsibility will be conducting in‑person interviews to build strong, long‑term relationships with clients.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and file tax returns for individuals, including rentals, small businesses, and stock sales.
Prepare and review returns for various business entities, including S Corporations, C Corporations, Partnerships, and not‑for‑profits.
Conduct face‑to‑face client interviews to gather information, answer questions, and provide exceptional service.
Handle accounting duties, including QBO, payroll, and Florida sales tax filings.
Respond to IRS and state correspondence.
Qualifications
Experience:
A minimum of five years of experience in corporate and individual tax preparation is required.
Enrolled Agent:
An active Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is preferred to facilitate easier communication with the IRS.
Communication Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills are essential, with a proven ability to conduct in‑person client interviews effectively.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in standard tax and accounting software is needed.
Commitment:
The ideal candidate is self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and dependable.
