Overview
This position is onsite at 451 E University Dr, Tempe, AZ 85281. It is a full-time ON-SITE role (40 hours/week), Monday - Friday. Employees must have flexibility to work any 8-hour shift during normal business hours from 8:00am to 4:30pm AZ, with possible occasional overtime as needed. The company offers 8 weeks of paid training on-site; training hours are 8:00am–5:00pm CST, Monday – Friday, with no PTO during training and 100% attendance required. Primary Responsibilities
Collaborates with the University Bursar, Registrar, IT Services and Web Services to ensure smooth processes throughout the insurance plan year. Coordinates the administrative aspects of a competitive bid process for USHIP and the optional insurance plans. Maintains the University Student Health Insurance Administration Tool, which tracks students\' annual enrollment and waivers into/out of USHIP. Interfaces effectively with all University customers (students and/or their dependents, Administrators, and Student Health Center staff) while clearly presenting the University\'s position on all topics. Serves as a day-to-day liaison by providing walk-in and telephonic customer service support to all University customers. Assists in resolution of insured and/or provider billing issues. Understands and educates students regarding current plan design, policies, and procedures. Coordinates and attends on-campus service-related functions/meetings, including Orientations, Health Fairs and In-Service Information Sessions as needed regarding the student health insurance plan. Interfaces with internal and external partners toward the goal of providing exceptional customer service to University students and Administration to align with company short- and long-term goals for the student health insurance plan. Gains knowledge of all phases of claims processing, including enrollment management, the appeal process, pre-determination, and contract interpretation of plan benefits and policy provisions. Assists with the enrollment/waiver process and may research eligibility issues (but does not approve or deny waivers). Assists in developing and distributing communications related to the student health insurance plan. Performs other duties as required by the University to support the student health insurance plan.

Required Qualifications
High School Diploma / GED Must be 18 years of age or older 2+ years of experience in the medical insurance field, benefits verification, or related functions 2+ years of claims processing and/or claims adjustment experience Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications Ability to work full-time on-site at the office location Must be located within 25 miles of the Tempe, AZ office Ability to work full-time on-site Monday - Friday, in an 8-hour shift during normal business hours (8:00am - 4:30pm) with occasional overtime and weekends as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with public speaking/presenting information to customers 1+ years of customer service experience in a higher education environment supporting the student population

Pay is based on factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. The hourly pay range is $20.00 - $35.72 per hour for full-time employment.
