Job Description HVAC Mechanic 3rd Shift Split, Wednesday‑Saturday(9pm start time on Tuesday), 9pm‑7:30am

Under the direct supervision of the Shop Supervisor, or other designated personnel, perform skilled work in the maintenance, repair, and installation of refrigeration, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems, and their controls.

Perform maintenance, repairs, preventative maintenance using a computerized maintenance work order system. Provide written(electronic) records of work completed on a daily basis. Communicate with Supervisors personally or through electronic forms of communication (email, phone use etc.).

Required

Minimum of three to five year's recent full‑time experience as an HVAC Mechanic working for a licensed contractor, or maintenance organization

Massachusetts Journeyman Refrigeration Mechanic

High school diploma

EPA Universal Recovery License

Proficient knowledge and demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC and Refrigeration systems and controls.

Must be able to read and understand plans, blueprints, and schematics related to HVAC and refrigeration systems.

Demonstrated ability to work independently

Ability to work from written or verbal instructions

Skills in the use of equipment and tools used in the trade

Must hold and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license

Must be able to communicate orally, read, comprehend, write, reason and analyze and perform calculations

Must be able to bend, sit, squat, stand, crawl, walk, climb, push/pull, kneel, handle objects (manual dexterity), reach above shoulder level, and use fine finger movements

Must be able to lift over 50 pounds

The employee will be subject to the following Environmental Conditions on the job:

Exposure to excessive noise

Will be around moving machinery

Exposure to marked changes in temperature and/or humidity

Exposure to dust, fumes, gasses

Will drive motorized equipment

Will work in confined quarters

Preferred

Sheet Metal License

Oil Burner Mechanic's license

Experience with and an understanding of Direct Digital Controls (DDC), preferably Johnson Controls and/or Schneider energy management systems.

Base Pay Base Pay: $46.21 + shift differential
