INTELLIGENCE ANALYST SpaceX is seeking a dynamic and driven individual with a demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team in a fast‑paced, high‑tech environment. Our goal is to protect some of the world’s most advanced technologies, including rockets, Dragon capsules, inter‑planetary vehicles, and the world’s largest satellite communications network. As an industry leader, we are a target of adversaries, both foreign and domestic, focused on slowing us down and accessing our proprietary technology. The work we do will safeguard mankind as we become an interplanetary species.
You will be responsible for the research, analysis, production, and dissemination of information relevant to protecting the safety and security of personnel, brand, global assets, and operations at SpaceX. This role also supports investigations and research efforts, actioning findings and building queries from diverse data sources.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct in‑depth research, evaluation, analysis, integration, and interpretation of information sourced from various open channels
Produce high‑quality intelligence products on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, including briefings and analytical papers
Perform geospatial, financial, and social network analysis, conduct pattern‑of‑life studies, and identify risk
Identify emergent risks to the company, its technology, and people, and quickly synthesize information for stakeholders
Communicate findings effectively and accurately to team members, management, and relevant stakeholders
Navigate various social media platforms and OSINT tools proficiently, adapting quickly to new and emerging technologies
Facilitate information sharing by fostering relationships and partnering with internal stakeholder groups as well as external local and federal law enforcement
Conduct intelligence analysis, threat assessment, and investigations on persons and groups of interest to determine threat levels, including interviews and data analysis
Manage and safeguard sensitive information, including case files and intelligence reports
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of professional experience in intelligence, investigations, data analysis, and/or technical targeting; or 4+ years of professional experience in similar fields in lieu of a degree
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
1+ year experience with SQL and data‑visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
1+ year experience using Python for data analysis, file I/O, or API integration
Experience with geospatial analysis or ArcGIS
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large data sets (1 M+ records) and draw actionable insights
Excellent written and oral communication skills, producing clear, concise research reports
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast‑paced, high‑tech environment
Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with social media monitoring tools, OSINT, web‑search, and communication platforms
Highly collaborative with strong emotional intelligence and maturity
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed to support critical efforts and operations
Must be willing to travel ad hoc; minimal travel is expected at this time
Active TS/SCI clearance, or ability to obtain one. Candidates with an active clearance will be subject to pre‑employment screening, background check, drug/alcohol testing, and random drug and alcohol testing during employment
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Pay range: Intelligence Analyst/Level I: $75,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year Intelligence Analyst/Level II: $90,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year Your level and base salary will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on job‑related knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Those with an active clearance will receive a 10% differential once officially briefed into a classified program.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package. You may also be eligible for long‑term incentives, company stock, stock options, long‑term cash awards, discretionary bonuses, and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Additional benefits include comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage; a 401(k) retirement plan; short‑ and long‑term disability insurance; life insurance; paid parental leave; and various other discounts and perks. You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year.
