Mortgage Field Services Inspector
FAR Inspections is hiring a Mortgage Field Services Inspector to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders. Independent contractors will earn predictable full‑time or supplemental income with a flexible schedule. The position is based in Reno, NV and the company has been in business for over nine years.
Responsibilities
Complete exterior occupancy verification inspections in the assigned county.
Submit a short form and take 9+ photos with brief comments within 4 days of assignment.
Report general property conditions and determine occupancy based on industry standards.
Drive throughout the day in the assigned territory, spending extended periods of time making numerous stops.
Qualifications
Computer with internet connection.
Reliable vehicle with good gas mileage.
Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
Printer.
Pass a standard background check using a valid driver’s license.
Pay and Hours This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate. Pay varies by county and volume, with an approximate equivalent of
$30‑$40 per hour . Depending on county and urban or rural location, a contractor will complete anywhere from 20‑500 inspections per month working 2‑30 hours per week. Pay increases as volume and coverage expand. No additional mileage reimbursement is provided above the flat fee per inspection.
