company is seeking a Crime Gun Intelligence Specialist L2 to support our government customer in Washington, DC. Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt. Security Clearance. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.

Koniag Government Solutions (KGS) is seeking a Crime Gun Intelligence (CGI) Specialist Level II to provide advanced analytical and intelligence support for ATF operations. The CGI Specialist Level II will provide comprehensive analytical support and intelligence gathering while maintaining advanced firearms analysis capabilities. As an Alaska Native Corporation subsidiary, we combine investigative expertise with our cultural values to deliver superior intelligence support.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

Intelligence Analysis

Conduct NIBIN hit analysis

Support trace analysis

Compile investigative leads

Technical Operations

Process IBIS evidence entries

Conduct firearms identification

Handle/test firearms (if approved)

Provide IBIS training (if NAT certified)

Analytical Support

Gather crime reports

Monitor trafficking trends

Process obliterated serial numbers

Support investigations

Requirements

Firearms knowledge

Data analysis proficiency

Strong analytical abilities

Intelligence gathering expertise

Technical aptitude

Problem-solving capabilities

Safety consciousness

Team collaboration abilities

Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt. Security Clearance.

Desired Skills and Competencies

Advanced law enforcement experience

NIBIN/IBIS expertise

Experience with e-Trace

Link analysis capabilities

Firearms trafficking knowledge

Training certification

Experience with federal systems

Statistical analysis abilities

Technical writing expertise

Knowledge of RMS systems

Understanding of compliance

Experience with data visualization

Knowledge of safety protocols

Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/experience

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Minimum 3 years’ law enforcement experience

Experience with intelligence analysis

Background in firearms

This position requires strong analytical abilities, extensive firearms knowledge, and the capability to work effectively with law enforcement partners while maintaining high standards for intelligence gathering and analysis.

The role demands attention to detail, technical proficiency, and excellent communication skills.
