Job Summary As a

Shipping & Receiving Technician , you will manage shipping and receiving functions for the

Manufacturing Division

and support

Material Control Technician

duties. This includes handling domestic and international shipments, receiving materials, and performing general warehouse tasks like picking and putting away parts.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate shipping and receiving for production material needs

Ship domestic and international orders (intercompany, vendor, and customer)

Pick and pack sales and production orders according to work instructions

Ensure proper packaging for safe and economical shipment (including double boxing and palletizing)

Process shipments through systems such as UPS, FedEx, and customer SAP portals

Schedule, order, receive materials and post packing slips and related data into the ERP system

Perform general warehouse duties: picking parts, put-away, organizing inventory, cycle counts, and maintaining stock rotation

Keep work areas clean and organized; maintain safety standards

Collaborate with employees and departments to resolve shipping and packaging issues

Follow all departmental work instructions

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications Required

High School education or equivalent

Familiar with Computer Skills (i.e.: Outlook, Microsoft Office, etc)

Ability to physically perform the job including climbing, lifting, bending, kneeling, etc

Ability to collaborate and work well within a team environment

Willingness to motivate and support others

Ability to perform within a changing workload and/or priorities while meeting order schedules with quality results

Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist and lift up to and including 30 lbs unassisted. Assistance must be used for any items over this weight. Assistance is always required for anything weighing over 60 lbs

Preferred

Experience with Microsoft products and ERP systems

Minimum two (2) years of warehouse experience

Minimum one (1) year of related warehouse experience within the consistent areas of material handling, shipping and receiving, distribution, and/or operations

Good understanding of basic/fundamental warehouse shipping and receiving procedures

Working Environment

Production and manufacturing floor in a climate-controlled environment

Loading dock with seasonal weather conditions

Warehouse environment

Lifting and physical activity involved
