Job Summary Under the direction of the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, the Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for printing and shipping orders and receiving incoming goods. The position also receives returned goods, verifies production counts, assists with annual inventory, and monitors inventory to maintain HellermannTyton's Quality and EMS certifications. Essential Functions Print orders several times a day from the ERP system. Pick, pack, and ship orders using approved carriers. Ensure all expedited shipments (1‑day, 2‑day) are on time and notify CSR of any issues. Certify all customer‑required labeling and documentation for shipments. Complete all documentation for outgoing shipments. Receive incoming product within 24 hours. Process RGAs. Perform inventory transactions in the ERP system. Ship sample orders and create manual shipments as instructed. Maintain accurate inventory counts of supplies used on the manufacturing floor. Store incoming bags and cartons in appropriate locations. Other Functions Back up other shipping clerks as needed. Attend and complete forklift training. Perform routine housekeeping and keep work areas in order. Perform inventory cycle counts as requested. Assist in bi‑annual physical inventory duties. Perform all duties assigned for Health and Safety inspections. Review negative and bin reports, investigate and resolve inventory problems. Assist QA in identifying and locating non‑conforming packaging supplies. Perform other tasks as assigned. Move product/supplies to QA and Packaging Departments as needed. Key Competencies Proficiency with ERP and shipping systems for domestic and international shipments. Ability to receive product, reverse receipts, and handle inventory transactions in the ERP system. Skill in filling out non‑conformance tickets. Experience processing RGAs. Communication with carriers to ensure timely customer delivery. Knowledge of required personal protective equipment (ear, eye, foot protection). Adherence to personal protective equipment policies in manufacturing areas. Responsibility for cycle count program, entering daily and monthly counts. Organization of the warehouse to maintain FIFO using date codes. Detail‑oriented with basic math skills to assure accurate production counts. Self‑directed worker with little daily supervisor instruction. Qualifications (skills, knowledge, experience) High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. Basic math skills. Computer skills preferred. Forklift experience preferred. Valid Wisconsin driver’s license preferred. Ability to work overtime and on weekends when notified. Minimum 1 year of experience in inventory control or clerical experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read/write in English. Good oral and written communication skills.
