Requirements & Qualifications:
Experience : 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred.
Technical Skills : Proficiency in operating shop computers and diagnostic equipment.
Repair Expertise : Ability to inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
Specialized Knowledge :
Preventive maintenance on Cummins engines.
AC and electrical system experience.
Major repair handling.
Fleet Management : Oversee and maintain company trucks and trailers.
Physical Requirements : Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Tools : Must have your own tools.
Team Collaboration : Work closely with other technicians and drivers to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Compliance : Adhere to DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards.
Additional Skills : Experience in construction or power equipment/diesel engine service, repair, and replacement is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance and major repairs on trucks, trailers, and equipment.
Troubleshoot system issues using diagnostic programs and techniques.
Diagnose, repair, and replace components and damaged parts.
Ensure all work meets federal and state codes/regulations.
Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
