What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

Evaluate and underwrite new and renewal business in accordance with company guidelines

Develop and implement risk assessment models for informed decision-making on coverage and pricing

Communicate underwriting strategies and decisions effectively to internal teams, agents, and brokers

Monitor and evaluate underwriting practices, assisting with strategic adjustments for improved outcomes

Build and maintain business relationships with internal and external customers

What is Required (Qualifications)

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Liberal Arts, or a related discipline

Minimum of 9 years of experience in Underwriting Commercial P&C lines

Ability to obtain P&C Insurance License within the first 6 months of employment

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and strong ability to learn new software quickly

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

P&C Insurance License preferred, but not required for hire

Experience in evaluating complex policy renewals and modifications

Familiarity with underwriting practices and regulatory compliance

Strong analytical skills for evaluating supplementary reports and screenings

Previous experience in a role with performance coaching responsibilities
